CARD-FSU provides trainings on topics of interest and critical importance to families and professionals within our 18 county catchment area. Scheduled trainings are listed on our training calendar and are also included in our biannual newsletter that is sent to all professionals, families, and constituents on our mailing list. Training workshops are provided in a variety of formats and locations. Training may address early childhood, school-age or adult issues and may address areas such as communication, visual supports, peer empathy, problem behaviors, etc. CARD-FSU offers several DOE Regional trainings each year. These trainings typically consist of a day-long workshop offered to professionals and families across the Panhandle and generally feature a nationally recognized speaker. Every year CARD-FSU sponsors the FSU Summer Institute on Autism. This week-long institute features presentations by leaders in the autism field and is attended annually by parents and professionals statewide.
